Beschreibung:	Detailed programme structure Period one (12 weeks) Six modules consisting of: two research training modules two "pure" marine science modules (combining marine geology/physics and marine chemistry/biology) two 'applied' marine science modules (coastal zone management and environmental impact assessment) Period two (12 weeks) Choice of three option modules from ten: modelling marine processes fisheries management and assessment remote sensing and geographical information systems marine micropalaeontology marine geophysics marine chemistry pollution ecology/ecotoxicology marine pollution coastal and estuarine sediment dynamics coastal erosion and protection These specialist modules provide in-depth knowledge in one of the three nominal pathways: exploration and exploitation of coastal seas and Exclusive Economic Zones; nearshore pollution monitoring; and coastal zone engineering and management. Period three (18 weeks) Research project and dissertation
