UmweltPlan GmbH Stralsund. Raumanalyse im offshore-Bereich östlich und südlich der Insel Rügen (Pommersche Bucht) - Konfliktanalyse zur Verlegung von Energiekabeln. In: Schernewski, G., Dolch, T. (eds.). Geographie der Meere und Küsten. Coastline Reports (1), pp. 255-259. 2004.

Zusammenfassung:

The Special Protection Area (SPA) “Greifswalder Bodden” and the Pommern Bay are most important wintering areas for waterfowl during winter in the entire Baltic Sea. The region is also important for migratory, breeding waterfowl and habitat of different animal and plant types, for example the sea mammal species Schweinswal. An important task for the spatial and regional planning system is a conflict-management to use of a suitable route passage and the bundling of cable and pipelines. Greifswalder Bodden, including the Boddenrandschwelle and the Peenestrom, the region of Oderbank and the Adlergrund are areas for protection natural environment. To optimize the infrastructure projects to avoid or reduce negative environmental impacts it is possible to use a cable-route without main conflicts.
