Datum: 07. - 08. Februar 2017
Webseite: https://geomatics.one/
Ort: Lawrencetown, CANADA
Beschreibung:

The Geomatics Association of Nova Scotia (GANS) and the Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG) Nova Scotia Chapter would like to invite you to a workshop at the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS) in Lawrencetown. This two day event will be of interest to industry, non-profit groups, associations, academia and all levels of government.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts from the geospatial community in remote sensing, cartography, surveying, artificial intelligence, engineering, and other geographic related disciplines.

Having quality geospatial data is essential for mapping coastal resources and infrastructures to help ensure safe and sustainable activities within coastal regions, and accurately mapping the coastal zone can be very challenging.

Technologies ranging from topo-bathymetric LiDAR and aerial imagery to echo sounding all have their strengths and weaknesses when used to produce integrated maps and charts in this dynamic environment.
