The anthropogenic climate change and its consequences is not only a global problem. Warmer and more humid winters, hotter and drier summers and more often extreme weather event: also in Northern Germany, the consequences of the climate change are now clearly noticeable. But which challenges are tied to this? Together with well-known scientists and experts we are going to present the current state of facts and backgrounds of climate change. Also, we are going to deal with local consequences and possible strategies for adaption and discuss with which concept a future-compliant strategy will be possible.

With professor Stefan Rahmstorf, Potsdam Institute For Climate Change Consequence Research and Christian Pegel, Minister for Energy, Infrastructure and Digitalization Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

A cooperation of the Heinrich Böll Foundation Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research Warnemünde and BUND Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
