Tourism policy and planning in coastal areas
Marc M Miller The course provides an overview of environmental, social and economic components of the tourism system. Students will explore theories and examples of policy and planning of public and private sector tourism organizations. Participants will explore impact assessments, market strategies and best practices in tourism development in coastal and marine areas. The concept of sustainable tourism will be examined from economic, social, cultural and ecological perspectives.
