The first General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) Fish Forum will take place in Rome from 10-14 December 2018. The conference, one of the first of its kind, will encompass many areas, including oceanographic, social and economic science, as well as fisheries research. The event has, at its core, the aim of giving a voice to a wider community of people within the science industry, and will also provide an opportunity for young scientists to join the community.
The overarching aim of the forum is to build a lasting network, which will discuss research trends, integrate scientific knowledge in decision-making and identify priorities to shape the future of Mediterranean and Black Sea fisheries. At the event, there will be a number of keynote speakers. thematic and transversal panels, scientific sessions, workshops, side events, poster sessions and call for abstracts.
